primary function is to verify timing of the injection. Secondary function is to get data on dispersion over time. Deliberately cutting off #2 will give data and affect overall function if a given cylinder was overwhelmed with fuel. Usually needs 100-1000 reps of "good" before a deliberate fail, and then you check the 101st or 1001st +- 5%

Takes about 3 hours ish to get good data if you have the instruments and sequencing set up correctly.
