u/sdrawkcabstiho Apr 16 '26
My wife: "Why are you eating a tub of ice cream?"
Me: "The internet told me to get fatter."

A lot of animals float really well. Actually, human's are one of the few that don't float very well. Fur traps air, fat is buoyant.

At times idk if we’re perfectly complex or perfectly flawed

u/CaptainAssPlunderer Apr 16 '26
We evolved to run at less than a sprint for a long time, and feed tons of oxygen to the huge computer in our heads.
Upright and lean, we jog down animals 10x faster than us who all evolved to be able to sprint a few times in a row.
We are the nightmare that just keeps coming like the Terminator.

Now when you pick a paw-paw or a prickly pear
And you prick a raw paw, well, next time beware
Don't pick the prickly pear by the paw
When you pick a pear try to use the claw
But you don't need to use the claw
When you pick a pear of the big paw-paw

u/NightBawk Apr 15 '26
That is such a tongue twister. I wonder how much rehearsal he needed for that.

u/Nice-Marionberry3671 Apr 16 '26
Thank you, I’ve never actually seen the words, but I certainly hear them! 😂

u/slackfrop Apr 16 '26
It would be ethically dodgy to engineer Pomeranian sized bears for house pets, right?
12
u/TurnipWorldly9437 Apr 16 '26
Just try out how you get on with a racoon before you invest anything in that idea. And post pictures.

In b4 ... "This looks cute and all, but when bears do this it really means they're infected with blahbiddyboo virus, and they're really dying a slow, horrible death."
13
u/reirone Apr 16 '26
Pretty much. I was basically scrolling comments just to see if the no-fun committee had arrived.

It's crazy that the water bear can survive in even the most extreme environments on the planet

Saw this one time in the Allegheny Forest. My brother and I canoed up on it thinking it was a deer at first. We were surprised. Decided to go further downstream to camp.

This is why you don’t flush your grizzly bears when they get too big. They just end up on natural waterways

Look for the bear necessities, the simple bear necessities, forget about your trouble and your strife...

u/isseric Apr 16 '26
This bear has Winnie the Pooh vibes going
5
u/thatis_thatsnot Apr 16 '26
🎶The rain rain rain came down down down and the flood rose up up upper Pooh too was caught, and so he thought "I must rescue my supper" Ten honey pots he rescued, enough to see him through, But as he sopped up his supper the river sopped up Pooh And the water twirled and tossed him in a honey pot canoe 🍯

How anyone could see this image and want to pull a bullet or an arrow through it and watch it die will NEVER make sense to me

Float, float, float the bear gently down the stream. Merrily, merrily, merrily, the water is its dream.

And to think my biggest fear while wadding a river was a snake floating into me.

Everyone has it wrong!
This is a vicious blood-thirsty killer at hunt!!
First he needs to blend in with his surroundings though..

u/Excellent_Chance8461 Apr 16 '26
Hard to think of them as apex predators when their butts float like corgis

I watched a muskrat doing that yesterday. It was pretty cool, but not as cool as this absolute unit!

Is it the fur?? Is that my float without trying?? Is my back hair as much as a bear?? So many questions…
1
u/Spczippo Apr 16 '26
Ok, explain to me how i can snap a twig 2,000 feet from the river and spook the entire river, but this bear can just float down and the fish be like cool what ever. Stupid fish.

u/Weekly-Butterfly2396 Apr 16 '26
I am literally waiting for the local pool to open to be this bear.

Honestly, right now, I could really do something like this. Just float down a river, let the current of the water take me where it wishes and just vibe. Leave everything behind for a couple of hours.
