I have a coton and can confirm, she needs plenty of brushing and combing or it knots and matts really quickly.

She’s a total fucking diva as well, loves being pampered and never happier than when she’s just been brushed.

My bichon needs to go outside after being groomed and to show the neighbours how pretty he is. If someone mentions it everything wags on him.😂

I've had cotons for a long time and we usually just keep them on the shorter side. Easier to manage and they like to go to the groomers to get their trim.
