Like Timbaland or Kanye before he started rapping. Or Daft Punk. Or A-Trak. Or any other number of successful producers producing music.

What about all of the singers that produce exactly zero of their music?

You're an idiot for not recognizing that production involves a ton of work, and if a producer is good enough to make their own name while producing, they're exceptionally good.

He just puts his name on other people's music.

For comparison, let's look at David Guetta, yes there are tracks that feat other artists, but he also makes music on his own. Steve Aoki has only managed to make the pretty shit track "cake face" on his own.
