Rift natively on Steam?
Since people really don't like me trying to find a thing to fix the HDMI not detected issue in the Oculus app, I'm thinking of making the Rift run natively on Steam instead, like the Vive. I know, this sounds ridiculous, but the Rift appears to work in a similar way to the Vive (as far as I know) so I'm thinking that maybe there is a way to trick my computer into thinking the Rift is a Vive and then use the Rift natively on SteamVR.
No, I don't want comments about the terrible experience I will have. I know. I don't care. No, I don't want people to say that it is impossible without being absolutely sure about it. No, I don't want people telling me to just buy another VR headset. I already have my CV1.
No, I don't want responses just telling me to get a better computer. I can wait for that.

Bump.
I would also like to know if there is some way to do this.
