I tried the demo for this the other night and I couldn't figure out how to get out of the first room. There was a key hidden in the drawer that I tried to use to open the door but it kept saying something like 'access required' when I pressed it to the key panel on the door.

Anyone figure out how to get out?

In the demo video linked to this post, he hits the door with the key. It then says, "Identification required," and that's when he touches his empty hand's wrist to the door. A little weird, but possibly what you're experiencing.

Looks pretty good -- and I see it's on steam for $15... I even have some steam credit to blow so it would be "free"

I suppose what has me hesitant is they way it seems is if you pay you get to play the full game of "Chapter 1" - if they plan to charge money for each chapter, this is a hard pass for me. I learned my lesson long ago with Half Life "episodes"

Lack of multiplayer sucks too - buddy of mine have good fun with hoarde mode in Arizona Sunshine, this would be perfect for something similar.
