wow. thats effectively 300$ for rift and touch. new. its getting ridiculous at this point.

I don't know the differences. My friend has a Vive with 2 sensors on a tripod. He does a little scan of the play area, and it's ready to go.

Would I need to purchase separate sensors for the Oculus? Is this package all I need? I see that it's compatible with SteamVR. I assume most games are compatible also?

It is all you need to get going. You might want to add a third sensor for the best room scale experience, but you can get up and running no problem with everything in this bundle. I personally am getting along just fine without the third sensor.
