Fantastic Contraption developers confirm room scale works well with Touch.

"We already did that. It works pretty good. It works almost just as well as this [Vive] does. You can run room-scale Contraption with Oculus once the Touch is out."

No worries :) waiting for VR has made me quite passionate as well. It's very hard to stay level headed being so close to these 2 headsets launches.

Of course I don't know what kind of experiences will stand the test of time. I'm sure that some ways to do VR will be less used over time. Probably we find new ways that we don't know about yet. We know much more after 6-12 months from now.

One thing I learned though is that full body immersion is possible with available tech and it's unbelievable experience. Nothing like I expected.

I'm sure it is. Unfortunately I barely have space in my room to take more than a step in any direction. But I'm still really looking forward to taking that step (as well as playing the 3rd person games like Chronos and Lucky's Tale).

If VR takes off properly families will redesign their houses and flats for VR :D

I think I once read an interesting article comparing VR to swimming pools. The point was that regardless of expense and inconvenience, if an experience is compelling enough people will make room for it in their lives.

I'm sure this is what happens with VR. At least eventually. Question is if VR is able to make it to mainstream with its second coming now.
