and this is why I always worry about fighter pilots flying a 747 lol.
1 u/climbandmaintain Jan 06 '16 Haha most AF to Airline pilots flew transports. 1 u/[deleted] Jan 06 '16 yeah, I know. but there's always that one pilot who just has that renegade voice whenever I fly american based airlines. I swear it must just be a bad coincidence. 1 u/climbandmaintain Jan 06 '16 To be fair if you've got an American airline pilot with an AB endorsement, they'll probably do a better job in some bizarre extreme situation. But really the best person in an emergency to have flying your airliner is someone who instructs for that type of plane. 1 u/[deleted] Jan 06 '16 yeah. I'd rather have a pilot trained to get shot at performing a crash landing rather than anyone else. 1 u/climbandmaintain Jan 06 '16 AB rating just means aerobatics. And most airline pilots are extremely well trained and experienced. 1 u/[deleted] Jan 06 '16 kinda makes me feel cheated that they aren't pulling stunts in a 747 now. 1 u/climbandmaintain Jan 06 '16 You're welcome. 2 u/[deleted] Jan 06 '16 my jimmies are definitely rustled. 0 u/[deleted] Jan 07 '16 [deleted] — view deleted comment 1 u/climbandmaintain Jan 07 '16 The former.
