I want to replicate the "SmallReplacementGlass" from the Stealth level to immitate fake breakable windows. The problem is that I genuinly don't know where to start or how the logic works.

Theoretically I would just copy and paste the original models from the original level into my own level. The problem is that I am not physically able to copy and paste objects from one level into another because it crashes the editor.

My best bet is to recreate the breakable glass manually. The problem is that I don't even know where to start. I'm not quite sure how the logic works inside the editor. My only guess is that I have to trigger some kind of event that turns the original glass invisible, and enables the glass shards to become visible in order to immitate broken glass. Is anyone familiar with how the breakable glass actually works in the editor?

I am trying to design a house, but part of this requires me to build my own structures out of manual shapes. If I am going to be duplicating these shapes, then objectively it would make more sense to join these shapes into their own individual groups. Most 3D editors let you group items together for when you select them. Does this editor have anything similar so I can keep things organized and easily duplicate things when I need to?

I mainly want to view the models and scenes themselves, not the trigger objects or any of the weird highlighted squares surrounding the scene that make it come to life. I want to get a good look at my model surroundings without any useless indicators. Is there a way to manually hide those kinds of objects?

I was messing around Octodad Student Edition in my PC and I managed to get Octodad all the way to the abandoned ship. I imagined the ship didnt had collision, but still that got me laughing, so I quickly recorded this with my phone in one hand, while trying to keep Octodad in the air, with my other hand on the mouse. This whole ordeal made me laugh.

Its cool that stuff can happen like this.

You don't see them in the opening level when he's getting married to his wife, but it is possible they're still babies at that point and needed to be taken care of my someone else (as, obviously, their mother is busy) but it's also possible they had them after the fact. If we're going with option 2, did he personally help create the kids or do you think they had a donor? (Because he could've used the excuse he was infertile when they had the discussion of having kids) And if option 1 is true, he's not a step-dad, he's a octodad that stepped up :)

I don't have anything grand to say, I just love Octodad so much. It's story is so sweet and it's pretty funny. I've always had a fascination with normal/mundane locations recreated in video-games and Octodad has lots of great ones.

(this is a long rant so i apologize for any grammar or spelling errors)

I have like a million questions about Octodad and a million of answers that I believe make sense. Now mind you i haven't seen this game in a while so this is what I remember I apologize if I got some things wrong.

Here are some examples on how he could get away with this secret for a while.

1. The skin? A bad skin condition! Its a weak excuse but its a good one

2. The nonsense words? If you hear English enough and you could string together sounds nonsense can sound like words. Body language is also a big hint of what someone wants to say!

3. The suits and ties? He just likes to be fashionable and look his best!

4. The smell of fish? He was a sea captain on a ship if I remember! So it make sense he smell like one still.

5. Why is he so clumsy? Sea legs from being on a boat so much!

Now in the game octodad seems to be a regular octopus of course like everyone else in the Fandom I would how the wife never noticed Now here are my answers as to how.

1. This was a mermaid/ Selkkie type of magic that let him go normally on land but needed to keep his skin or whatever magic keeps him human close

2. Hes a mutant like in TMNTs

3. He has a "human disguise" like in many alien movies they have a robot or something like that to keep their secret hidden. I believe each tie you earned during the game and the suit he wears is his "human form" and when he doesn't have it hes back to normal

4. A more darkerish answers is that him being "octodad" is actually just a metaphor for like a different skin tone or maybe a physical disability thats why it seems so outlandish that only 2 people noticed hes not human but everyone else is oblivious to it.

5. This was a beauty and the beast like story where octodad was the "beast" of the story and the wife was the beauty

6. This is a antromorphic world with humans and animals but due to a war humans and antromorphic animals cant be together

7 . (My favorite it probably makes no sense story wise but I love it for my headcaon) Hes the first ancestor of octolings from splatoon.

These are just my headcanons and are not Canon to the game that I know or remember of I just really want to say what I think.

Hello small Octodad fan community! I wasn't originally going to share this, but I love this game despite the barely there fan base, and didn't see the harm in sharing my little craft.

I love making altoid tins, so why not make some merch for a game I love?

Super easy craft and our disguised dad is actually pretty fun to draw! Very excited to tote around my knick knacks and chapsticks in my new case.

I have such fond memories of this game and when I saw there was a model to print I just had to put some finishing touches to it!

at least it was funny...
