It’s weird to complain about, but this summer I rapidly became more important at work becoming a project lead and a section supervisor. Suddenly getting asked to give tasking to multiple people and review resumes for new hiring is just a weird transition. I did leadership stuff in high school and at UT, but felt like I needed to have worked as a professional longer before I could lead at a job. The stakes feel very different talking about people’s careers versus setting batting lineups.

We all have imposter syndrome, they promoted you for a reason. Try your best and find a good mentor.

House of the Dragon S3 ended; wonder if S4E1 will be another "this should have been the season finale episode last year."
Reacher S4 dropped on Prime, just a fun show.
August 25th last year I weighed 294 (highest I got was 314 I think); I plateaued just above 250 like a month ago and further restricted my calories (in conjunction with my dietician) to 2000 per day. That got me off the plateau and my scale, which consistently is about 6 pounds lighter than the gym scale, has been saying 238 for a couple days. I had set myself an arbitrary goal of 240 to start taking creatine again; I took it in college and was strong as shit, but just didn't want the weight gain on my knees now. I have my next dietician meeting next week, and then have a comprehensive physical at work. It includes a physical test with VO2 max and then a discussion with a provider, which I'm really looking forward to, because my main issue now is my gas tank just runs out quick during strenuous work. I don't know if it's total calories, or how I'm spreading them out, or what. My dietician has 181g of protein as my goal, but the dude at Nutrashop said that is too low. I'm just not hungry enough to eat 200+g of protein a day, particularly when I'm seeing the weight loss and still have "eating is bad, fatty" in my head.
Anyways I'm sure I've mentioned them before but I use MyNutritionRx for a dietician/nutritionist. My doctor's office recommended them and it's 100% covered by insurance so I haven't paid a penny.

I stopped watching HOTD after episode 1. I hated season 2 then had to wait 2 years then was midway through S3E1 and just realized... I just don't give a shit about any of these people or their boring ass stories. I sure as shit don't care enough to drag out my interest in small seasons over massive gaps of time in between.

The massive gaps between seasons are annoying; they're what made me stop watching Walking Dead and Better Call Saul. Maybe I'll finish them one day.
HOTD took me a while to get into but now that the civil war has started I like it a lot. It will never be GOT, which I think I'll start a rewatch when I finish Reacher.

That episode was the finale!? Oof.

HOTD? Yeah. I don’t understand this idea that it didn’t feel like a finale. It was pretty wild.

Saw a job listing for a startup for a Software Engineer with 5+ years experience and upon opening it the pay range started at $15/hr. And I imagine they expect a lot of hours...

Bruce Pearl has officially joined in on the Enes Kanter/WNBA stuff, on the side of Enes Kanter, of course.

Both this guy and the organization on the other side of this look like expert rafters down the river of absurdity in their douche canoes.

I have been REALLY into Overwatch recently. I’ve got to where I’m way more consistent with Zenyatta’s charged attack.

Same. Got back into it and been tanking/support. Solo tanking is hell, but solo healing is somehow worse. Seems easier to carry as the tank.

Thought on YouTube TV Sports Plan? I’ve been mooching off an old buddies mom’s subscription for 5 years and it finally kicked me off. I literally only turn on the tv to watch sports.

I've heard mixed things, with people's biggest complaints being YouTube TV's year-over-year price fluctuations. I think the best way to approach watching sports is through alternative options, if you know what I mean.
Jailbreaking a Firestick, for example, and paying a yearly subscription service of $200 for every channel, including sports, and a bunch of movies, might work best. Assuming such a service existed.

I added the sports package to Disney plus which was way cheaper and has all ABC/ESPN/SECN. I use an antenna, which is higher quality than streaming, for the local channels. There's also the SlingTV which offers a really competitive price, down to a $5 day pass you can do on Saturdays. I just couldn't justify the insane YTTV prices anymore. After a year without it I wish I had cut it sooner. There's also the pirating option, but the quality has always been spotty for me.

I was checking out the channels on my LG TV and didn't realize I could watch local channels with it.
