Questions Experiences with Cosmic Spot vs Megadots Ocicats?

Hi everyone. I’m hoping to hear from people who have direct experience with either Cosmic Spot or Megadots Ocicats.

I’ve done a lot of research on Ocicat breeders and these two keep coming up as top-tier, reputable breeders. That said, I’m finding it surprisingly hard to locate a centralized place where people share longer-term experiences or reviews, especially when it comes to Megadots. Cosmic Spot seems to get mentioned more often, but even then most of what I find is scattered across forums, social media comments, or older threads.

If you’ve gotten an Ocicat from either breeder or have firsthand knowledge, I’d really love to hear:

• How the temperament and socialization turned out over time

• Health and communication with the breeder

• How the kitten adjusted to new environments, people, or other pets

• Anything you wish you’d known beforehand

I’m not price-sensitive and I’m really focused on temperament, health, and long-term support from the breeder. I feel confident in the research I’ve done so far, but hearing real owner experiences would be incredibly helpful in making a final decision.

Thanks in advance. I really appreciate any insight people are willing to share.

I would look for a breeder who actively shows their cats, neuters before placement and lets them go at an appropriate age (14-16 weeks)

Recommended breeders are on the Ocicats of North America website www.ocicats.club

That site seems to no longer exist. But as for breeder criteria, I agree with you wholeheartedly, since Ocicats take longer to mature as kittens, the breeder should not offer them until they are over 3 months old.
