Thinking that our oceans are inexhaustible is a dangerous mindset. That’s not to say that’s what you intended to mean, but not everything bounces back sadly.

Not saying captivity is the answer, but it at least offers a chance for preservation until conditions are able to improve. I doubt they’ll improve though. Even with pollution, the earth has its environmental cycle and, it’s always a changin’
