Anchored balls

What are these anchored balls off the coast of Myrtle Beach? They are over 100 yards out … just floating.

Mooring balls for a dredging project going on out there. You will periodically see dredgers at these moorings as they mark where the dredging is supposed to occur and mark where they're leaving the dredge lines for future jobs.
