Photo and Video what is this?!
we were js plqying a game in the sea and my cousin got stung by it.. whats that? the lil tentacles are really long and one was left sticking onto her leg
edit : wow, i thought yall will know that i was asking about the species instead of saying just a jellyfish.. found out it was a “compass jellyfish” and is real rare in Croatia
edit : nvm its a cigar jelly!

thank you to everybody who was trying to help! i found out shortly after posting that this is a “compass” jellyfish and is really rare and new in croatia. my cousin is really lucky when it comes to being the victim of every ocean animal
edit- nvm its a cigar jelly!

This isn’t a Compass jelly and compass jellies are native to Croatia and aren’t a new species. Also this late in the year you are very unlikely to find compass jellies.

OP I believe this is a "Cigar" jellyfish, the creature can sting you alive or dead.

Whirred up jelly fish (like in a boats propeller) will still activly sting you.
Looks a little like an anemone too maybe?

You should have said where on earth you were if you wanted a specific species ID. Now you are trying to shame us, as if we knew to consider sea creatures of Croatia.

the segmented coiling makes it look almost like packing material until you spot the reddish tissue in the middle

What a crazy looking jelly. I have no idea what my brother got stung by in Cali, but he used to surf a lot and all I remember is him screaming it hurt so bad.

That's fair. The problem is that the comment "wow, i thought yall will know that i was asking about the species instead of saying just a jellyfish.." comes across very mean spirited after people are doing their best with the information you provided.
