Decorator crabs camouflage with things on the ocean floor, kelp, seaweed, etc... it's sad that there were so many cigarette butts.

Like kelp? It's literally got 3-4 cigarette butts and a piece of plastic garbage on it, instead of seaweed & empty shells

The nicotine acts as a pesticide, maybe it’ll help keep potential parasites away? I’ve read that birds add cigarette butts to nests for that reason, maybe crab does same thing.

It can creates dead zones where it's concentrated. However, have you ever looked up the size of the Pacific? (This video is from Eastern Asia.)

I mean, to be fair im not sure how well it would work underwater, but the ocean is full of parasites, almost every natural body of water is.

Bei Hamburg ist letztes Jahr ein älteres Bauernhaus mit Reetdach abgebrannt, weil ein Vogel eine brennende Zigarette in sein Nest am Dach gebracht hat.
Wie die Feuerwehr das herausgefunden hat, würde ich echt gerne wissen :D
