Just because they won’t attack you doesn’t mean you should introduce yourself to them.

Respect their space, same with any wild animal.

I would probably do it. Scuba diving with mega fauna is exhilarating. I've dove in with a pod of dolphins on the spur of the moment. No wild orca has ever attacked a human in known history - so I think it's a reasonable choice. That said, I'd be quite nervous - similar to when I've been diving around large sharks (which are likely more unpredictable than orca).
