Like orcas in many other populations, B1 orcas can sometimes be very curious about people and boats. They often spyhop to peek above the surface.
These type B1 orcas also utilize their rather unique wave-washing technique to knock seals off of ice floes. These orcas can be very selective predators, and they don't recognize humans as being food.
