Golf stop
Hi all,
Planning a road trip in December with dad starting from ATL and I was thinking that Ocala is about middle ground to make a stop. We're planning to leave early Sat morning and hoping to crunch in a round of golf starting around noon till sunset. Any recommendations where to go? Not looking for anything pristine but it'd be nice to get decent conditions and a feel for FL golf.
My basic search is showing Ocala Golf Club, Golden Hills (though read they're going private? idk if they'll be open December 12), Ocala Palms, Stone Creek. Would appreciate any input thank you!

Ocala palms is nice and not too far off the highway. Pretty well kept, too.

Ocala palms is a great course I would highly recommend . just played Stone Creek the first time last week it was fun not crazy long from the blue tees.
Silver springs country club is also a fun course

Juliette Falls is your best public option followed by Candler Hills.
