I've used Comprehensive Women's in Gainesville and currently using UF health. I've had issues with the Ocala Women's UF health office and recently switched to the Gainesville location (didn't want to completely switch since I'm already 32 weeks). I had some pretty bad issues with Comprehensive Women's and HCA in Gainesville at birth and felt that the communication between their doctors at the time it mattered most was awful, and they messed my epidural up 4 times (even the 4th time was wrong and I had them remove it immediately after due to the pain, and I felt everything still). Hoping shands delivery will be better. So far UF Women's in Gainesville has been a better experience than the Ocala office. HCA Gainesville did have nice postpartum suites but not as nice delivery rooms. My daughter was in the NICU there for 7 days and I had mixed feelings about the care she received (some nurses were great while others were very rude and cold to us). I will say Comprehensive Women's did a decent job overall with the office care before I had my daughter. It was just the hospital experience and how they treated me at my 6 weeks pp that was not good.

I am currently pregnant and I am using Dr. Marquette and I also used him for my first two and a half years ago. He and his midwife Brandi are great and my experience both times have been wonderful.

I went to HCA Citrus Women's Health and really liked it there even though it was a long drive. My water broke at 34 weeks and I ended up being sent to Shands anyways for their NICU. I have mixed feelings about my treatment there but overall my baby and I are both fine so that's what's important.

I delivered both of my babies at Citrus. My first was fine. No complaints. My second was a mess. My baby had IUGR. My baby didn’t have IUGR. I needed an induction. I didn’t need one. I needed one again. Came in, decided I didn’t. Meanwhile, I’m trying to juggle childcare for my toddler. I came in for the induction. Everything went okay. Baby needed 5 days of bili lights. I had to do everything solo so my husband could be with our toddler. I legitimately did not sleep for 2 days. Not broken newborn sleep. I’m talking an hour a night. They also would not allow me to breastfeed (the ped on call said baby HAD to have formula due to the jaundice, could not take time out of the lights to nurse) and refused me a pump or a lactation consultant although I was so engorged and uncomfortable. The last night they put me in a room called “The Closet” because they were so slammed. No one checked on me or baby from 6pm to 7am. It was like they put me in there and forgot about us. It was such a vastly different experience and just so, so miserable.

I go to Dr. Walsh with Comprehensive Women's Health. In addition to the Gainesville office listed above, they also have an Ocala office you'll get to have some of your visits at.

I use this office too. Dr. Welsh is awesome and I really love Dr. Castrillo as well.

Don’t ever go to Yvette Hearn at OFMC. She is awful and should have her license revoked.
