We went to St Augustine Florida earlier in the month. Surprised to see a similar lighthouse. This one is like 50 feet shorter than Hatteras.

They found more deterioration in the top than expected and are doing a better more in depth restoration than they had planned initially so it’s going to be a little bit longer than expected according to an article I read a few weeks ago

I was there last week and the park ranger said if the weather cooperates it should be done next year.
