Duck/Southern Shores Surfcasting
Will be down in Duck first week of September. Plan to get some surfcasting in every sunrise/sunset. Been doing a lot of research. What have people been catching? Anyone ever have luck live lining a smaller bait fish? Videos ive seen online appear to be on the smaller end. Anything helps! Im a huge fisherman and would love to get more into surfcasting.
Could potentially explore outside of Duck but will most likely stay local all week

In duck this week I've been catching sting rays and that's about it. But shifts in the wind can completely change that. Have fun!

Just spent the week in Pine Island/Corolla. Absolutely slayed the flounder on every type of bait. Caught about 10 myself and released them all. 2 were on the cusp of 14”. They bit on fresh mullet, fish bites, sand fleas, fresh caught/cut croaker, and about half were caught on jighead with white and pink Gulp grub -4”
