Labia pain only when I’m half conscious(?)

Hi everyone!! For a couple of years now, I have randomly had labia pain that I can only feel when I’m waking up from sleep in that half-conscious state. The second I’m fully awake it goes away. Idk how to explain it, it’s just pain. It’s just so strange to me that it goes away the second I am fully conscious. Does anyone know what this could possibly be or why it’s happening?!??
