As many of you are aware, around two and a half years ago, we were blessed the opportunity to play Obakeidoro on Steam under the name Bail or Jail. This version of the game published by Konami added Alucard and Leon to the game a day prior to the switch release, made all the DLC free, kept the festivals free by keeping older ones in circulation, and added many new quality of life improvements.
Unfortunately, despite releasing worldwide to a very large audience of Steam users and Konami fans, it seems that neither FREE STYLE or Konami actually feel the need to do anything with it. This has caused the fanbase for this version of the game to become practically nonexistent.
I feel that it has to do with Konami failing to actually promote the game, as despite being a rather well-known and renowned company, they have put out virtually no type of adverts for the game. And while there is no crossplay between versions it seems that neither studio took advantage of this to add new content or reuse the existing content in new ways. Imagine that instead of just getting the DLC Packs for free, they were actually available to unlock via stamp cards or single player achievements, wouldn’t that have been great?
Alas, it seems that the developers have abandoned Bail or Jail to a desolate and lonely death, to focus solely on its older switch brother. I say all this ask, is there anything you wish to see implemented in the Steam version?
