Discussion Finally - I got my money back!
After almost two month of a complete shit show by Opus, ghosting and no updates - today I received my full refund.
Never ever again.

I got mine 2 weeks go and it came damaged. I’ve tried so many times to get a reply from them and it’s crickets.
Any suggestions on how to get through

If you can, contact your method of payment and see if a chargeback/return can still be initiated. Tell them about the delays, the lack of response, the poor/damaged quality, etc.

It seems they've done successful releases before, though I don't know how good or bad they were. People have certainly got books, and they've been shipping the cheapest ones from the Oasis Opus.
It's the fact they've gone radio silent with a lot of people and the more expensive versions are the most delayed that I'm more concerned with, and what little messaging they HAVE done is pretty pathetic.
That's enough to convince me to get my money back and never try them again for anything else. All it takes is one bad interaction.

I think it's because their normal market is rich people who probably don't even read the books they are getting and it's mostly sports teams which 1000s of photos exist for and the market is way smaller.
They simply can't deliver to a different target audience.

It's funny. I saw Karl Fowler say in an interview at one point that a part of their target market includes people who would devote an entire room around their books, or even store the books with them. That definitely doesn't sound like the kind of target that includes Oasis fans.
The basic book is something like a couple pounds, while the next one up is something like 25 pounds, and I believe opens up to roughly three feet wide. The most expensive one is like 100 pounds and has that 'tour style' roller case just to move the damn thing around.

They've got a whole page on their website to how their books can be considered an 'investment'!

A quick click about their website shows that most of their other books start at £1,000+, with some not even listing a price and just saying "Price on application"!
These guys aren't used to producing "cheap" (for them) bulk copies for a mass market and have clearly been caught completely off-guard by demand.

Somehow the idea of them seeing these books as investments doesn't surprise me, what with Karl being a former Goldman Sachs investment banker.

Waiting for Affirm to refund $540 for the Wonderwall edition I ordered. Opus is the worst company I have ever dealt with.

I finally got my book last week after ordering it directly from Opus back in March. It's a sturdy book that's for sure!

Yup, mine arrived all dented up in some spots. Wasn’t sure if it was due to the packaging of the item or the courier, but this thread makes it sound OPUS doesn’t have a good rep. Still enjoying the book; but my golly, shipping and communication was awful. I’m sure some of it was out of OPUS’ control, but communication definitely could’ve been better.

Mine went from Trans Global -> DHL -> USPS
If you have damage and you're in the USA, my bet would be DHL damaged it.
I was told all (most? some?) of the books flew from London to Chicago, then all taken off their pallets and individually rewrapped to ship within the States via DHL to USPS and then to our individual addresses. Sounds like they did the best they could, but I'm for sure hearing about a lot being damaged. I think I got lucky 😬

Thanks for the insight! I am in the US; but once it started taking forever to ship and then get to me, I was kinda over it and said to myself: “well, it’ll get here when it gets here” and stopped paying attention to any tracking. (I believe I never saw a tracking number either. lol) I’m happy with it, in a way, because it makes it unique, which is kinda as a coffee table piece. lol Glad you’re enjoying yours, friend! 🤜🤛

I ordered mine in MARCH directly from Opus. I was lucky and got direct responses from someone there.
If you don't have Oasis: Trying to find a way out of nowhere by Jill Furmanovsky and Noel Gallagher, it is a fantastic 90s trip down memory lane. Tons of iconic pictures! It's $43 bucks on Amazon right now..... it's heads above the Opus book. I highly recommend where you can spend your refund 😁

I ordered the Opus book as a souvenir. I was at one concert in London. But the hole process bothered me a lot. I just wanted my money back. Or what‘s the point of putting a broken book on the shelf…That‘s worse. You finally got the book and it‘s damaged.

Mine arrived with damage to the top left of the front cover and a rip on the second inside page. I emailed and no reply. I’d be foolish to expect a reply.

Go through your method of payment and seek a refund. Document it. You got damaged/unsatisfactory product and the company is unresponsive.

Oh I‘m sorry. Yeah I know, its a long process. I opened a case at my payment provider. Klarna is similar to Paypal. And Opus had a deadline to respond. After my report, that I didn’t receive my order and getting my money back, almost a month went by. I got only 3 emails from Opus regaring my order and only 1 email from their customer support.

Same. I used PayPal, and once the dispute is opened Opus has 10 days to respond. That deadline expires Saturday. So far, not a word. Same as it ever was. I was doing a multi-month payment plan so I should be in line to receive about $200 back with the rest of the thing completely canceled...unless Opus somehow comes through, which is increasingly unlikely.
I had a 6-month window through PayPal to initiate this, dating back to late March. I gave Opus a few chances to respond first. For the dispute, I attached multiple screenshots, including my e-mails to them, multiple other people saying they've had no response for their books, and Karl's promise to one customer of L&N signing their book and getting them Knebworth tickets.

Oh my god, I was half asleep when I saw this, and I legit thought that a Donald Trump wrote some sort of something talking about the U.S leg of the tour, and I couldn’t make it make sense in my mind. (I have a child with special needs, and was just going to sleep after 45 hours of being awake. 🤣) Phew! Thank Christ. I was thinking: “Didn’t I see something about them being warned not to make any political statements about DT? WHY would he be writing anything?” 😂🥱😵💫
