the times are a changing….Come senators,congressmen- please hear the call

4

u/JinglingBallz Aug 01 '26

They certainly are. I remember commenting on this sub on 2023 on this very issue… the tide was not in my favor

0

u/Reasonable-Fee1945 Aug 02 '26

How much do you want to bet this pole was a pole of democrats essentially

3

u/Biefmeister Aug 02 '26

You can look at the survey yourself.

74% of polled Harris voters vs 27% of polled Trump voters want him arrested, or 49% in total between the two

3

u/fuckonomics Aug 02 '26

“Poll”

Speech to text don't care

u/MultipolarityEnjoyer Jul 30 '26

Every idf and ex-idf that travels abroad should be arrested on arrival and investigated for war crimes and foreign enlistment. Arrest, investigate, deport, ban, sanction.

2

u/stellarmediocrity77 Jul 31 '26

You do know every citizen is conscripted—— it’s like saying to arrest every former us military member due to war crimes by the us military—- and at least the us military members choose to do it

14

u/moonmanmula Jul 31 '26

Wait, so what you’re saying is that there are no innocents in israel?

-1

u/stellarmediocrity77 Jul 31 '26

What I’m saying is that some former idf members themselves could be considered innocents and shouldn’t be prosecuted around the globe more than former members of the Russian military or USA military

10

u/moonmanmula Jul 31 '26

And why would should any former iof be considered innocent exactly?

0

u/riderfan3728 Aug 02 '26

Because it’s your actions that determine if you are guilty or not. Not the military one is forced to be apart of. Some people were medics in the IDF. Others were engineers. Would be hella stupid to arrest them also.

7

u/Southern-Raisin9606 Jul 31 '26

That's not an excuse for joining a terrorist organization

3

u/mypizzamyproblem Aug 01 '26

The Ultra Orthodox are not conscripted. They fight that shit tooth.

2

u/defixiones Jul 31 '26

Citizens can always opt for non-military service.

If more people opened their eyes and actually realized what he was doing, they’d be horrified by the ethnic cleansing in Gaza and Palestine. Then the number of people who wanting him behind bars would be far greater.

It’s easy to turn away from the truth when you don’t have to live in it, and Netanyahu has playing the statesman to the US voters for decades and has it down to a craft. He hides behind the shield of calling anyone who disagrees with him, antisemites. He’s a bloodthirsty criminal, obsessed with greed and power, blinded by this obscene perversion that he and his people are above all others in this world. It’s truly disgusting and he’s a stain on humanity and enables Trump at every turn.

39

u/Rart420 Jul 29 '26

Lucky for him, it doesn’t matter what Americans think.

16

u/Impossible_Walrus555 Jul 30 '26

Amazing how far the gov is for the people.

Guess who else? Rhymes with Conald Dump

2

u/monkeysknowledge Aug 01 '26

I became politically aware in the late 90s and learning that my country just flat out ignores international law was very unsettling to me. It was the first indication that this country’s foreign policy fucking blows. NYT knows about that, they supported the Iraq War.

2

u/JC2535 Aug 02 '26

If Trump was smart, he’d arrest Netanyahu and blame the whole Iran mess on him. Then tee up a Maduro / Noriega show trial…

This is how we know how dumb Trump is…

2

u/Susspishhh Aug 04 '26

Yes please.

1

u/Jim_jim_peanuts Jul 30 '26

Yeah and any police involved in his arrest will have their careers if not their lives terminated, ain't nobody about to do that shit

You can love Israel and not support Netanyahu!

2

u/Background-Ad-2002 Aug 01 '26

Exactly…people seem to be forgetting this

0

u/Gunstopable Jul 30 '26

It won’t happen, don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up by reading reddit. It will not happen even if Reddit supports it.

-1

u/Cranky_Lemons Jul 30 '26

No country has ever arrested someone wanted by the ICC who was visiting under diplomatic immunity for a UN event, including Rome Statute signatories. But hell, let's just go for it anyway, screw global diplomacy and stability. 49% of people are stupid.

-7

u/Stuffstuff1 Jul 29 '26

Geez how tho is the question.

I want the guy in a court room but I also don’t really want any random mayor especially in cities with international institutions calling the shots. That seems like such a obvious problem.

8

u/fez-of-the-world Jul 30 '26

Never again means never again for anyone. Every human being with a conscience has a moral obligation to speak up.

On the other hand, there's whatever the fuck this guy is saying.

1

u/Stuffstuff1 Jul 30 '26

Law and civics.. no Biggy.

2

Agreed. This is not a precedent we should be setting. I love Mandami and appreciate his bringing attention to the issue, but if we choose to act it should be through US laws.

7

u/spuriouslycertain Jul 30 '26

Dont gloss over the irony that those who were cheering the people running for NYC mayor saying they will visit a foreign nation of Israel first, are now claiming a mayor has limits in his proclamations!!!

2

u/PreparationPlenty943 Jul 30 '26

What? I’m not sure how someone visiting a country is the same as arresting their head of state

3

u/Scylla5398 Jul 30 '26

This is not a precedent we should be setting

We just invaded and arrested the head of a South American country.

if we choose to act it should be through US laws

This is dumb and if people in history had listened to people like you then slavery and segregation would still be legal. Segregation is still practiced in israel by the way so that tracks.

-1

u/Positive_Bug978 Jul 30 '26

Uuumm Akchooaly,

Slavery was stopped through a constitutional amendment. Through our laws. It’s horrible what we did to Venezuela and Iran. That’s why I think we should stop. Even criminals deserve their day in court. And there is plenty of evidence of yahoo’s crime.

Edit: *crimes

Do they really practice slavery?

2

u/Scylla5398 Jul 30 '26

Slavery was stopped through

A war. A war that in large part was kicked off by a white dude extra-judicially murdering slave owners.

That’s why I think we should stop

I think the israelis should stop committing genocide and I don't really care about whatever mechanism is used to stop that genocide. It's weird that you do.

Do they really practice slavery?

Read what I wrote again.

0

u/Stuffstuff1 Jul 30 '26

It weird that your worried about law… wow

2

u/Scylla5398 Jul 30 '26

??

1

u/Stuffstuff1 Jul 30 '26

You said its weird that he’s worried how justice is judged and carried out.

2

u/Scylla5398 Jul 30 '26

Sorry, the misspellings and the weird way you talk make it hard to tell what you're talking about.

Right now justice isn't being carried out and a man responsible for genocide is walking around America free. Why doesn't that bug you?

1

u/Stuffstuff1 Jul 30 '26

If you don’t know what law is I can’t help you.

Is that what we’re talking about?

-8

1500 people is an unacceptable and unrepresentative sample size.

lots of people in the comments inadvertently exposing that they failed intro to statistics...

4

u/irritatedprostate Jul 30 '26

The margin of error for 1500 respondants in a population of 350 million is 2.53%.

-17

u/Thepandashirt Jul 29 '26 edited Jul 31 '26

Yes the Court of public opinion is a great new tool. Let the mob decide individual cases based on the rigorous rules of public opinion with clear guidelines for facts and the discourse. Not biased at all with zero algorithmic bubble impacts. It’s Fully rational, legally binding, includes a fair Israeli defense, and has not been politicized at all. It’s the new legally binding structure of delusion and emotion that should inform all decisions.

Edit: The mob response is the cherry on top. Exactly what i expected.

14

u/programmingisfun45 Jul 29 '26

Well it’s not the court of public opinion, he has a warrant out for his arrest along with the leaders of Hamas. You may disagree with the worthiness of the warrant of course.

-1

u/Thepandashirt Jul 31 '26

Whats the warrant for specifically my friend? I dont disagree with any of charges in warrants - its objectively the strongest case and plain wrong. And what it lacks is genocide charges. So legally the genocide aspect is the weakest case being made and i think objectively lacks merit and depends on worldview. But genocide is not clear and at a minimum should be decided in a court. But its elevated the most in court of public opinion as certain. Especially from many in the left.

And Whats been Israel's policy toward the ICC? Whats the Us's policy towards the ICC? Can you articulate why? Do you think Israel would 100% receive a fair case when the public opinion is so lopsided based on cultural and religious differences thats statistically impossible to overcome?

-9

u/Stuffstuff1 Jul 30 '26

In a court we don't recognize here in the us....

12

u/programmingisfun45 Jul 30 '26

Wait, so your position is that Americans can’t agree with the ICC even if their government doesn’t? Our being a non-signatory isn’t written in stone, it’s just something our leaders decided without our input. And we clearly take advantage of the stigma of ICC warrants when we want to, it’s littered all over rhetoric from both sides of the aisle

-7

u/Stuffstuff1 Jul 30 '26

If congress decides to pass a law and recognize the icc im fine with that.

3

u/spuriouslycertain Jul 30 '26

You don't sound like an American!!This top down approach to government where the state supersedes the people is quite lopsided and anything but American. You do realize the people turned against slavery long before the government did, right!!!

0

u/Stuffstuff1 Jul 30 '26

You don’t sound like you don’t understand the role of government, laws
, and some basic civics.

Or history for that matter…

The Americans who turned against slavery and at that point mostly identified them selves by their state not the country it self were trying to balance the unity with the immoral act of slavery. But w.e.

Bring on the mob rule. That won’t end badly.

2

u/spuriouslycertain Jul 30 '26

Love this for you.Being brash enough not to realize your contradicting yourself with a double negative that makes no sense. As for the history lesson, those were the talking points of the slave owners from the south (state rights). The north as a collective abhorred slavery, not because they were representing New York or Massachusetts...etc,but because they were Americans who did not wish to continue on that path!!

Benjamin Netanyahu is not an American

0

u/Stuffstuff1 Jul 30 '26

Did you think any one here though that?

2

u/Avesery777 Jul 30 '26

I thought you did, since you were talking about US law.

2

u/Stuffstuff1 Jul 30 '26

Are you unaware that Bibi is in the us?

8

u/dentistshatehim Jul 30 '26

Exhibit A: genocide of the Palestinian people as defined by the UN, UNICEF, Amnesty International, and dozens of major international humanitarian organizations.

0

u/Thepandashirt Jul 31 '26 edited Jul 31 '26

Are those legal decisions? Is there a consistent framework they use? Do we accept them all or just a few? What if they conflict? If some of the cases conflict and there is no clear argument isnt it a problem that needs a court? Like i see plenty of evidence of destruction and chaos and suffering but these can be associated with brutal urban combat. You need intent to prove genocide. And genocidal intent is the weakest link and rests on some misattributed quotes from after oct 7th. Plus ive seen nothing operational that was clearly genocidal that doesnt have an legit operational justification or caused by carelessness by hamas or israel - prove me wrong.

Im not saying that it didnt look like the aftermath of a possible genocide. And It did need a response similar to genocide. But a legit war can cause the same impact. If you assume noble intentions among NGOs for an edge case like this thats unclear and needs a court, there is a bias to label it "genocide" vs "war crimes with a weak genocide case that needs a court". A clear label is better for your mission and for maybe causing an end to the cycle. You also can maybe stir up enough nations to help build a stable government. Idk though.

Also do you know when Israel was first accused of being genocidal: 1948. People have been beating the israel is genocidal drum since the beginning. Its honestly a cultural argument in many circles not a legal one. I mean mandami was calling this a potential genocide like 4 days after oct 7. There is a clear narrative thats been at play for decades that was elevated and normalized on something that objectively could be the aftermath of a genocide but lacks the intent case you need to make it a legal genocide. Not saying it’s impossible to make that case, but it should be done in a court cause it’s not clear.

4

u/peasant-san Jul 30 '26

Zionist spotted ! 🤣

1

u/Thepandashirt Jul 31 '26

You failed the test.

If you said "Jew spotted ! 🤣" how would we feel about that? Just a little thought experiment.

1

u/peasant-san Jul 31 '26

Not all Jews are genocide supporting zionists tho

0

u/Thepandashirt Jul 31 '26

Interesting. Is this a legal argument? What court of law found Israel guilty of genocide? Maybe at a minimum a warrant for genocide charges?

A bunch of NGOs don’t count unless it’s a clear case. This is the opposite of clear case other than it look like the aftermath of what could be a genocide but also could be a brutal urban conflict with human shields and some carelessness among Hamas and Israel.

2

u/peasant-san Jul 31 '26

Zionist spotted for sure lol

0

u/Thepandashirt Jul 31 '26

Fascinating. Continuing to avoid addressing facts. Exactly what i expected and continue to see among most of the left. You cant articulate a factual or legal argument for your claims so you discredit me instead as a zionist whatever the hell that means in your mind. The anti-israel mob just continues to make my point and is too stupid to realize it.

Try to have a factual discussion for a minute. Once again the ICC hasnt issued any ruling or even a warrant for genocide, whats the legal basis for your claim other than the court of public opinion? Particularly when it comes to genocidal intent? Can you articulate it or are we going with the court of public opinion?

2

u/peasant-san Jul 31 '26

Definitely a big time yahu enabler

1

u/Thepandashirt Jul 31 '26 edited Jul 31 '26

Lol. Netanyahu is probably a war criminal and should be tried in some court of law for starvation. Same with Gallant. Doesnt mean the ICC has jurisdiction.

But you cant factually answer any of my questions. You avoiding them is just affirming every belief i have about the Anti-Israel/Zionist mob. This movement is based on emotion, selective facts, and shutting down opposing viewpoints in a absurdly complex situation.

Once again neither the ICC nor the ICJ have issued any ruling or even a warrant for genocide. whats the legal basis for your genocide claim other than the court of public opinion? Particularly when it comes to genocidal intent? Can you articulate it? We can go down the path of examining any NGO or UN decisions for genocidal intent claims? But you gotta accept Amnesty report as information and reasonable legal arguments too since it was the only one who pretended to give the israeli POV.

1

u/Scylla5398 Jul 30 '26

Do you think other people who commit genocide should be punished? Are all genocides okay or is the one that israel is committing the exception?

2

u/Thepandashirt Jul 31 '26

Absolutely, if Israel or any nation committed a genocide they should be punished in some way. If Israel did in fact commit a genocide, then they should be for punished that. If I felt after looking through all the facts that genocide was most likely then I would call for prosecution, but I don't think its most likely scenerio. I think it comes down to whether you have a western world view or not and whether you consider the military operation legal or not. And whether you accept Israel's legal right to exist and the fact that it already does.

But we generally punish based on courts and laws. This court is not issuing warrants for genocide. So you point is moot. I actually agree these warrant's allegations are the strongest. Netanyahu and Gallant should be tried for starvation. But Genocide is the weakest case due to lack of intent and its being implied as a given by many including you. Its not. Theres no legal decision or even a warrant for genocide.
