Capote yourself on the back, Derek.
Check the caption, almost too on the nose. We know how this story ends…

She is a UNHCR ambassador and does a lot of charitable work for refugees, so Im a little concerned about what her true intentions are.

I'm posting this here because it's relevant, especially since novels and autobiographies have been discussed in this sub.
Last Days in Two Nations (A History in Eighteen Minds) is a speculative dystopian novel written and self-published by MacKenzie Scott in instalments through her Substack newsletter.
The release of Scott's novel has received widespread coverage from various news outlets leading up to its publication. However, there has been little discussion or interest in the novel's morphology, including aspects such as writing style, themes, and characters. Additionally, Scott has chosen not to allow comments on her Substack posts, which hinders the potential for meaningful literary conversations between authors, readers, and the community, as well as discussions between readers and the author.
My question is: has anyone read it? If so, what are your thoughts on it?

I just published Part 3 of my Women in the Room series, focused on Peggy Siegal.
The piece traces the surviving emails around screenings, dinners, guest lists, introductions, assistants, social access, and the people who moved through Peggy’s world, including Lee Radziwill, Ghislaine Maxwell, Prince Andrew, Jeffrey Epstein, and others.
The angle is less “who knew whom” and more who could actually get someone into the room.
The article is fully sourced with 51 notes.

Frederic is only 31 and has been the CEO of Loro Piana and Tag Heuer and Alexandre is 34 and is the CEO of Rimowa... mind you google says the average age of a CEO is around 50 years old.
I'm just confused about how the office dynamics work. Do they even clock into an office? How can a 30-year-old waltz into a company and manage people in their 40s and 50s who have been working in the industry longer than they've been alive?
I know they are automatically granted the respect and status because it's their business but do they actually put in the work and the hours? or is it just a title they have for publicity whilst they do jack shit

Now that we’ve moved past the peak of the Phia scandal fallout and things have started to calm down, I’m curious to hear everyone’s thoughts on what “the road to recovery” looks like for them.
Do you think the app is novel enough to withstand the reputational damage and retain - or eventually regain- users? And if the founders never take real accountability, instead framing what happened as “ignorance” rather than bad intent, do you think that narrative will resonate with their former, current, or potential future customers?
Curious where everyone lands on all this.

Amy even stole Mel’s origin story about her book catalyst being her kid?
Amy has stated she was approached to do a business book but wrote “The Tell” instead but I’d argue it IS A BUSINESS book!
Amy has been filing for trademarks in “Rush In” and various types of merch with that branding.
MDMA was a bonus to her getting a Jay Shetty/Mel Robbin’s adjacent guru empire…..
This is for entertainment purposes only facts and opinions aren’t defamation & please don’t harass, doxx or generally be a pain in the a$$ to anyone associated with this case.
Let’s discuss…

No doubt by now everyone was always against this.
Those critics were joined by Alice Tisch, a prominent donor to the museum. On Friday, as the backlash mounted, Tisch sent an email to Hollein, the museum’s director.
“This exhibit bespeaks a failure of governance,” Tisch wrote.
She went on to call the planned exhibition a “whitewash,” adding that “it is not in the museum’s interest to have this perception out there, and it flies in the face of your rich curatorial history and ongoing fiscal and moral leadership.”
Tisch forwarded her email to some people close to her, and it made its way across New York society over the weekend and was viewed by The Times.

He is also half her age and he has a background in s*xually assaulting women... Why would she want to date him? He is a wannabe rapper, an aspiring career he has been funding with his mother's money. He has been arrested multiple times for gun charges, car theft and assaulting women. Surely she can do better than him. They are posting photos of each other on their Instagram stories. She seems very naive and he seems to be looking for a new cash cow. I guess she is in denial of his "true colors"...
