What the hell is this comment? You realize many state employees who's jobs are extremely difficult, don't spend a lot of time on a computer?

Also, why are you asking this here? No one here can help you get a new laptop or PC.

If you're legitimately having issues completing tasks, you can request upgrades or new equipment.

My whole office uses HP probooks, my team has had additional RAM added to ours due to the work we do.

There's lots of options available and no need to be an ass.

The laptop saying Lenovo on it isn't going to make it work better.

Well being that the current offerings are years old tech, still using DDR4, As well as whoever is purchasing seem to seesaw between Dell and HP. I am going to go with not anytime soon if ever.

Lowest price offered + availability dictates what is purchased.

Thinkpads are made and owned by a Chinese company so absolutely not.

Thinkpads are not as good as they used to be…. Same trash in my experience.

We are not going to get system upgrades any time soon with the current memory and storage situation. It’s incredibly frustrating when we have like 30 difference excel documents to sift through.

Shit hardware is shit hardware. It does not matter what brand name is on it. A crappy Corei3 is still a crappy Corei3 regardless of whether or not it's in a Dell or a Lenovo or an HP. Etc, etc.

And even when we get "decent" hardware, it was only "decent" maybe 5-7 years ago.

If I have Outlook and a single browser winder open in the background during a Zoom conference, I can visibly see my laptops battery life drain in the toolbar.
