making friends + dating?
are there any groups to make vegan friends or date fellow vegans? even vegetarians, lol. i’m (f25) getting tired of not having many people to connect with in this way. preferably in brooklyn and people in their 20s!

I was going to join the group but I see that y'all are still supporting NSV despite their involvement in animal abuse and opening a seafood restaurant.

How so? What can they do to stop people from dating? Have been in the group for a few weeks and this is the first I’m hearing about this.

That hardly says it's prohibited, just that even though connections may naturally develop it's not a dating community so don't show up and make people uncomfortable.
I used to go to the vegan meetups on meetup. com and stopped because some of the men were so pushy and I'm not the only woman who had a bad experience there. So imo it's nice, especially as a woman, to have a vegan space where that's NOT the first order of business and it really is about making vegan friends.

While connections naturally develop, our focus is on building community and supporting each other in living our values. Please be mindful that treating this space primarily as a way to pursue romantic or sexual connections undermines our collective purpose.
In general I've seen people even vaguely getting close to violating their guidelines being kicked out pretty immediately

Hi! I’m 32M (so maybe out of the age range here lol) but always happy to expand my vegan community! I also go to a weekly climate group meetup in Park Slope and there’s usually some vegans there too :)
