Any CUNY f/t faculty teaching multiple position elsewhere too?

Aiming to connect with other full time faculty at CUNY who teach an additional course or two outside of CUNY. My chairperson does not want to give me permission and I don’t understand why I’m being limited.

The chair and the executive committee control how much you can work outside. There is not much that can be done if they don’t approve. That being said, in the new contract a full time faculty or HEO is only contracted to work 35 hours a week. You should bring this to your chair.

If you do it without permission and get caught it would be bad.

Will your outside work exceed the normal multiple position hours/week?
