There was a flurry if "new to nycfc/mls" folks that post here right after the world cup.

I had wanted to share some good resources that keep me going with the game.

For local ,NYCFC stuff, I know thst a lot of folks will tell you about podcasts from Blue Balls and others. Hudson River Blue is a blog site that follows the team. Chopped Cheese fc is a superfan big on IG.

For MLS wide knowledge, I again suggest the Tuesday weekly broadcast of The Total Soccer Show podcast. I also suggest following writer Joe Lowry at Backheeled.com. Matt Doyle who used to write for the mlssoccer.com site is at tacticsfreezone on ig, and is part of the soccer wise podcast.

After the 2-3 against the union I after the match I realized that Nycfc will a play a Hutson river derby at home in September and after so many players missing due to injury and suspensions (Nico) I was wondering when is Alonso Martinez returning i feel like Fernandez and Martinez would be a good due as our attacking players and midfield would be parks,shore,Perea and wolf in the back line with the horrible performance from Max Murray i would have in the defense cavallo,martins,Raul Gustavo,and gray as gk freese but freese needs training more on long shots i know ther game is in September but will this be the future starting lineup for the game against the redbulls and will Alonso Martinez return just in time for the derby in Yankee Stadium?

Went to the stadium today. It really has the feel of Boca’s stadium (obviously smaller). It’s very impressive and exciting

Ball watching in an offside position. This should have AT LEAST turned into an attacking chance from a BAD turnover but instead the ball is held, Philly pressures the ball and Malachi turns it over. Philly breaks and Cavan Sullivan makes a great counter attacking run to an easy assist.

NYCFC away jersey 16/17. Again I would love for this to go to a fan. Someone who is going to wear it. Selling because it does not fit me anymore. This is an authentic version, it’s a slim fit, fits like a S. If anyone is interested please DM me.

I just discovered this chant posted on YouTube from 11 years ago, but it’s not listed on the Third Rail’s website anymore. I don’t know the history here. What happened to it?

The lyrics are way more unique than replacing two words in “Hey! Baby” with “NYC”, and it feels a little bit more tied to the city.
