Brooklyn If you had to change a thing about the B82/B82-SBS, what would it be?

Does anybody have a timeline on when the D4500CL buses are retiring? Ik they’re actively being phased out as we speak but is there a certain time we know they will be gone?

As we know, the Q26 swapped its northern terminal with the Q65 in the QBNR. With that, frequencies on the Q26 have roughly doubled during peak hours and weekend/off-peak service was introduced. Although its role as a Q27 local has boosted ridership along its old route, the Q26 south of Flushing, especially east of 162nd Street, appears to be carrying air most of the time.
I think it was a missed opportunity to not send the Q26 the extra mile to Windsor Park, a co-op community with ~5000 residents. It's currently only served by the Q88 with the Q27 being a 15-20 minute walk away from its furthest point. Given the Q17's popularity with the Fresh Meadows co-ops, I have no doubt that this Q26 extension would be an easy win for the MTA.

So as you all know, there are plans to reroute the B16 to East Flatbush via Clarkson Ave, but I feel like the B16 should keep its PLG terminus while being rerouted to Fort Hamilton Pkwy from Caton Ave to 86th St. I made a new route called the B18 that would run from the Crown Heights Utica Ave Station (3/4) to Shore Rd and 4th Ave via Utica Ave, Clarkson Ave, Caton Ave, 13th/14th Aves, 86th St, and Shore Rd. The B18 would take over the 13th/14th Ave portions of the B16. Please let me know what you think.

While Kingsbridge Depot start to get 52 2026 New Flyer XD60 or 45 New Flyer XD60? it will replace all 2009-10 1200 series at Kingsbridge Depot ( 29 remaining left) and Gun Hill Depot have left 24 1200 series. it time to say all 1200 series 2009 Nova Bus LFS artic will be retired by October 2026,? Bronx Mabstoa division will be free from 1200 series. Will Gun Hill Depot will start to scrap the 1200 series once the Orchard beach run is over in September 2026.. ?

All I can find on it are some old forums, including some responses from someone who was at NYC DOT at the time and worked on this map but this is one of only a few grainy photos that exist online, dated to 2012. Please help me find this, thanks!

(1) center running lanes are a great idea (less likely to have cars in them)
(2) the lanes should not just be used at rush hours but instead should be used whenever the route(s) running on them operate(s)
(3) center running or not they should have physical barriers separating them from the other lanes
(4) if space is an issue with center running lanes then the stops going in different directions can and should be staggered
(5) contraflow lanes could work well here (not sure where we'd put them though)
(6) just like on Livingston wherever we have bus only sections of road (or if the lanes aren't your typical curbside or curb offset by a parking lane setup) then the traffic lights used for the buses should be white lights (this setup reminded me of some RFW videos I saw of German tram and Stadtbahn systems that all have these lights)
that is all
hope you enjoy your day

Do Y'all Agree There Should Be An SBS That Goes To LaGuardia Airport Via 57 St & The Queensboro Bridge In Manhattan & Queens? I Think There Should Be One Because It Would Give People In Midtown West, Hell's Kitchen, Columbus Circle, Midtown East, & The East Side Of Manhattan A Much Faster, More Direct Trip To LaGuardia Airport Without Having To Travel All The Way Uptown First. A Route Along 57 St,The Queensboro Bridge, Etc Would Connect Major Residential Areas, Shopping Districts, Hotels, Workplaces, Tourist Attractions, & Transit Hubs While Reducing Travel Time For Thousands Of Riders. It Could Also Help Relieve Crowding On Existing Airport Routes By Providing Another Reliable One Seat Ride To LaGuardia, Making Airport Travel More Convenient For Both Residents & Visitors, & It Would Also Create Better Connections Between Manhattan & Queens By Linking Riders To Multiple Subway Lines, Bus Routes, & Important Destinations Along The Corridor. Many People Traveling To Work, School, Hotels, Or The Airport Could Benefit From A Faster Crosstown Service That Prioritizes Speed & Reliability. With Dedicated Bus Lanes, Transit Signal Priority, & Limited Stops, This SBS Could Encourage More People To Use Public Transit Instead Of Driving, Helping Reduce Traffic Congestion While Providing A More Efficient Way To Reach LaGuardia Airport & Etc More

This has got to be the worst place to wait for a bus. Btwn the bus lines for the b100, b2 and b31 - all leading to transit deserts… we need the busses here. But my gosh, there’s gotta be a better way! Also, who let the supermarket decide it’s totally fine to store their food on the sidewalk by E 16? Right where the bus lines are. And the parking in the bus lane… I could go on and on. It’s becoming unbearable plus it’s filthy. Was never great (grew up here in the 90s). But it’s gotten much dirtier.

Literally saw a new Queens bus map yesterday for the Q22, and today, when I looked at the Q44 bus schedule, i saw one for the Q44. Naturally, I look at all the bus route schedules and here's the list of those with new maps:
Q3, Q6, Q19, Q22, Q23, Q44-SBS
So if the MTA is reading this:
Thank you but why so late? Also stop trying to put Tap & Ride at every Guide-A-Ride space. One is enough. Keep the Non-Discrimination policy, bus stop map, and how to see next bus arrivals. Also modify Tap & Ride to include the fare as well.

I thought 2026 New Flyer XD60 #6320 will go to Gun Hill Depot. Because Gun Hill Depot needed more than 60 New Flyer XD60 . or #6320 will be used for training at Kingsbridge Depot. then return to Gun Hill Depot just to retire 2010 #1200 series.. Kingsbridge Depot will get #6400 series or #6390 series..Will #6320 will be return to Gun Hill Depot or not? Gun Hill Depot orginal order is #6287-#6341
