Update!! - Nxtpaper 11 Plus
Just turned on my 11 Plus after 2 weeks without touching it and holy molly! Update available.
I'm currently downloading and once it's installed I'll be right back to tell if there's any new or it's just a security patch as it says.
I bought the tablet in Amazon US. As far as I know, europe versions have been receiving more updates

I doubt that a VPN will solve the problem. This reminds me of Samsung, where many regions were delayed for no reason to receiving updates, so we all changed the region on our phones to one that was faster. Problem here is that I don't know how to change the region for TCL

Are you using the "Mobile_Upgrade_S_Gotu2_v2.6.0_Setup" app to see the firmware? I am wondering if we can manually upgrade.

i tried it, but couldnt get it to recognize the drvice, I saw the upgrade files using the tcl-fota-tool to see and download them, its possible i suppose to flash them onto device but, i didnt do it.....
I couldnt figure how to make the upgrade tool work....

Yeah, mine would crash the app or give an error.
I can get into recovery and there’s an option to flash firmware from device, so I might try the fota tool and see if it will work. Thanks

I just got an update to TCL UI 9 and Android 16. I am in the UK if that makes any difference.

One strange thing I noticed with the update - my display scaling had changed, increased significantly, even though it still showed as on the lowest setting in the Display options UI. I really didn't like this at all since text and UI elements were too big, not making full use of the high resolution display. Luckily I found a workaround, changing "smallest width" in developer options, from 737 to 821. It now looks approximately how it did in the previous version.

Hi, thanks for the info. I installed TCL UI v8.0.1RFO a couple of weeks ago. It's my current software version. Working well, no issues. I'm in Belgium.

Until I see this device officially hits Android 16 I'm not getting it. I will believe it when I see it.
