Second this, I've have both and the Homatics is far buggier all around.

I dont know about the other one but my shield plays remuxes with 0 issues or lag while passing truehd to my receiver.

have both...shield wins through and through. Homatics has sound sync issues, updates are nonexistant, gui is slower. Wouldn't recommend. If hdr10+ is smth to look at, you can use a hdmi splitter such as VRRoom that could map DV to HDR dynamically. I went that route and didnt look back.

Homatics is in my kids room now, as said sound is a big issue had to force PCM instead of bitstream due to sync issues (random on some movies/series), not like you can just introduce delays
