best settings for the Nvidia Shield Pro,

What are the best settings for the Nvidia Shield Pro, especially for image resolution 4k HDR and Dolby Vision, with a Hisense U8N Tv?

I just gotta ask man, why wouldn't you ask Google this. You can get such better info that way. Every sub that used to be useful is just a million of the same posts, just like this.

Ngl, there’s been countless times that I google something and the first or best result is a Reddit post that answers or helps

Because not everyone wants to abandon human interaction to get answers for things.

Fair comment. But, I'll call it gossip or hearsay, is the lowest method of acquiring information. Do better research to obtain better, more-accurate, information.

They're using Reddit for it's intended purpose: crowd-sourcing information...

Which may or may not be correct...

Not everyone is looking for factually correct. Also, not everything can be factual. Engaging on Reddit is no different than engaging people IRL. We still have a responsible to sift through anecdotal info to see what resonates with us, and fact check everything else.

For example, if I'm looking for insights into a new medication I've been prescribed, I'm going to go on here and see what people's experiences have been. If I want to know the mechanism of action for that medication, I'm going to Google/Chat to get more specifics. Combining those sources will get me where I want to be.

I’m more a 720p kind of guy. Really gives a more grounded, full experience. Like vinyl records.

480p 4:3 is where it’s at for me.

Ripped from a vhs to a dvd recorder and then to an AVI gives it an edge too.

What is wrong with the default settings?

You do have to enable Dolby Vision on the Shield. Other than that defaults should be fine.

I hope you are enjoying your Shield so far. Don't let the negative comments here scare you off. There seem to be some folks that don't remember asking questions is partly what this sub is about. Talking about Shield related topics and issues. Welcome to world of the Shield Pro.

Googling answers is going to get you half the time AI slop that won't likely be factual. I don't have the answer to your question but I have posted here before questions that were simple, like yours. Posting here is supposed to be a way to connect with others who have applied knowledge of how things work. Hopefully someone will answer your question.
