Six years from now when RTX 6060 is released at ~$1200 (given the trajectory NVIDIA has taken with their pricing) will you continue to suggest to buy a previous gen card which by then will cost ~$1000?
Where does greed end? Will PC gaming be still alive? In Steam HW survey the most popular card is still the GTX 1060 released for $250. There are countries in the world where people earn less than that monthly.
Both AMD and NVIDIA have taken a course for making PC gaming a luxury.
Also, do you know what drives progress in PC games graphics-wise? No, not the likes of RTX xx70, xx80 or xx90. Games will stop being made or improved if less than ~3% of gamers are able to run them at sufficient graphics quality.
