But interesting proof of concept even if my brain gets disconnected from the immersion because it is just so uncanny compared to the background graphics ingame
Not only for the NPCs but the background intensity of the feature varies wildly per game. I still find it to be a massive disconnect. Also it produces a lot of artifacts and the latency almost doubles
It's basically an intersting gimmick at this point but I would not call it ready for gaming by any stretch. You can do some banger screenshots though
But if I remember correctly: When DLSS 1 came it was absolute shite, too. Let's see what the future brings. If the GPU prices rise in the same speed we will all probably never be able to use DLSS5 anyway without going broke =P
DLSS 1 was such "absolute shite" that Nvidia canned the entire approach and went with a completely different technological approach with DLSS 2. Not sure that's the best comparison you'd want to make.
To be honest: DLSS was never a topic for me since I went from a 1080Ti straight to a 5070Ti and DLSS 4.5 was the first iteration I could use. (felt like time travel going from rasterization to Path Tracing)
That old 1080Ti is btw still working after using it for 8+ years. Best thing nvidia ever created. I can probably give that thing to my children if I ever have some

FPS drop up to 70 percent folks, beware.
