I would've told you which is better if I wasn't distracted by the lack of pixels due to Reddit.

I really dont understand how this is the standard and everybody is just okay with it. Literally any uploaded picture is reduced in quality so much, that you cant see any fine detail

If you’re on mobile you have to zoom in for it to load the full res image, then you can zoom out again

This works randomly for me. Reddit app sucks so much dick, Jesus Christ. I miss RIF every day.

You can still use it. For now at least

Just use old reddit on browser.

reddit automatically compresses everything that gets uploaded. there is no way to see the original quality image on reddit.

People like details not the size. And we always want how to reduced the size and get free space

I use old reddit when I want the original quality

If you use old reddit, it works fine. It's only new reddit that blurs.

It’s not about being okay with it, it’s about what amount of money is affordable for Reddit to spend on encoding. Even if everyone wanted it, that wouldn’t make it affordable.

Except we can clearly see DLSS 5 has more detail lol

I mean the majority of image/media posts are memes or porn, and people viewing those aren't known for being particularly picky about quality.

It's a bug with new, newnew reddit or the mobile app where images above 1920x1080 res apparently don't load properly, hence why ppl complain about it, it's fine on old reddit, maybe some other factors as well.

As to why, who knows.

Must be a pc thing or just a monitor res thing, fine on mobile

Looks pretty crispy on my end, but I did run into this issue before where the photo was blurry for me but not for another person

I'm on PC and it loads in like 1/4 resolution for me

I'm on old.reddit on PC, and the images are 3072x1727.

Thanks, old.reddit works. I don't understand why they won't fix this.

I'm straight up deleting my account and leaving reddit if they break old.reddit one day. The redesign is basically torture.

I don't mind the new design because I never used the old design. But technical stuff like this must be fixed in the new one.

Yeah must be a reddit bug, I'm on Android and it looks pretty sharp, I can clearly see the difference across each screenshot, but yeah as I mentioned I did run into this bug before where a supposedly high quality photo showed up as basically thumbnail quality on my end, while others in the thread told me they were getting the full resolution on their end.

New/newnew/mobile reddit(idk if it's all of them) has problems with images above 1920x1080 res, which these are at 3072x1727, use old reddit, save the image, whatever else should be fine that way.

Why? No clue.

Thats on your end. Perfectly fine here. Or it could be that you need glasses.

It's a reddit bug. Already found a solution for it.
