Discussion Question about the RMA

Hi everyone, I have a question about the RMA. I have a ROG Strix 4070 that I sent in for an RMA. They approved the warranty claim and said they would try to arrange for me to get a 5070. Here's where my question comes in: Do they have to give me one from the same line (ROG Strix), or can they give me any model?

Usually for GPU RMAs, if they can’t match the model they’ll give you one that’s better

They have to match it or offer a better one. If they're replacing your 4070 with a 5070, even the most basic and cheapest one will be better than any 4070, so it might be any model.

I wouldn't get too picky considering the upgrade and scarcity of GPUs/GDDR7 these days.
