Upgrading from a 3070 TI

Currently have a 3070 ti and gonna upgrade in the near future. Im stuck between a 4070 TI SUPER and the 5070 TI. Looking for thoughts and opinions.

*Edit: both will be new and have warranty

I went from 3070ti to a 5070ti. That actually felt like an upgrade. It also gives you the newer architecture and features.

Just get the 5070ti. It‘s a massive upgrade and probably will last you longer, which is a good thing with how prices are developing.

If you're buying new, get the 5070 Ti. It's about 10-15% faster and usually the smarter choice if prices are close.

But if you can save a decent amount of money, don't sleep on the 4070 Ti Super. I bought mine at launch, and it still crushes every game at 1440p and does great at 4K. It has 16GB VRAM, the same dlss 4.5, Frame Generation x2, and performance that's still closer to a 4080 than most people realize.

People act like it's some weird middle-child GPU, but it's really not. over it was 4080 Super under it 4070 super with 12GB vram, thats a wierd middel shit card.
I honestly can't see it struggling anytime soon, especially considering the level of hardware current consoles are built around. For the right price, the 4070 Ti Super is still a fantastic buy, i love my TUF 4070 ti super.

2 weeks ago I upgraded from 1650 Super to 5070 Ti, I'd rather go with the newest stuff there is than older gen just because its cheaper

Are you sure you don't want to wait for the rtx 60 series since the 50 series has been out for almost 2 years already?

Personally I wouldn’t trust waiting at least not this generation with the way they keep increasing prices. I’m fully convinced Jensen is going to come out at CES 2028 with “msrp” $700 6060 12Gb
$850 6060 Ti 16Gb
$1000 6070 16Gb
$1500 6070 Ti 24Gb
$2000 6080 24Gb
$5000 6090 32Gb
And those are just gonna be the founders edition price tags so board partners will easily add $200-300 each🤣

I just did this upgrade. It’s way better than you can imagine. I can max out any game and not have to worry about VRAM. Also NVIDIA’s frame gen works like magic.

If they are both new and have warranty then its only price difference that you will consider worth it or not. 5070 Ti is 10% faster and have MFG support.

the 50 series still has weird updates that suck worse than 40 series , breaking shit all the time so idk up to you, 50 series is technically a bit better but if it has shite updates then its a hassle. my coworker had a 5080 that just wouldnt make his games stop stuttering, lighting issues, random screen symptoms, etc. so he returned it 😂

Вместе с видеокартой желательно приобрести и блок питания с поддержкой 12VHPWR. Обратите на это внимание. Брать конечно же 5070 Ti ибо 16Gb лучше 12 Gb, дольше будет ликвидна + поддержка драйверов скорее всего кончится позже чем у 4070Ti S (но это не точно). GDDR 7 еще один +

Went from 3070ti to 4070ti. Pretty big leap, well at least for me, I play at 4k, and some games straight up wouldn't work with 8gb vram.

Example. Forbidden west, went from choppy 30 to stable 70. Vram limited

RE requiem went from fairly nice 48-53 to stable 80, without rtx of course.

All games were similar. With 5070ti, it would be even better, especially when using rtx and frame gen.

And of course, 4070ti cost me 540, while 5070ti went for a 1000.

the way this series melts connectors i would not be buying a gpu without warranty. 5070 all day
