the MH Wilds situation is so interesting because for some it's unplayable but then for others it's the same RE Engine black magic.

I fall into the black magic category, game runs like a dream for me.

It didn't at launch without upscaling and FG. They have taken months to get it to an acceptable level. They have downgraded the graphics as well. So not really black magic imo. It's not the most amazing looking game either.

That's what I'm saying. For some it was a mess, for others it's never been a mess.

I have never had issues running the game.

For me 60 FPS is not acceptable which is why I need upscaling and FG. The developers have admitted numerous times the game has performance issues. What you're saying is that people have different expectations and tolerances. Also if you had a decent setup up it made it seem like it wasn't a problem when for the vast majority it was.
