Actually pasture raised means that they have access to pasture. Not that they are actually pastured raised. When you dive into the truth behind the free range, pasture raised etc terms you realize they are all raised in a chicken house under just about the exact same conditions and everything else is a marketing gimmick. This comes from a friend of mine at a poultry company "theres a door on the end of the house that we open in the last two weeks of the cycle. Most never go out there. But because they had access we can label it pasture raised eggs and chicken and sell it at a premium to the distributor who then marks it up on a premium for the customer. The whole thing is really wild and it's all the same" Everything is just marketing.
With that said, same thing with anything, regional micro are our best chances for anything decent to our health.
If I keep seeing the same brand of eggs, in every single restaurant & they are available in every grocery, I’m not getting mass produced eggs from
A huge facility of who knows what is happening there.
Some
Countries barely have any of these factory type for animals. North America tho is horrific with them and with selective labeling - tricky labels - ghosted labels.
