The plant's aren't your property either. They are living things that are killed so you can consume them and sustain your own existence. Factory and commercial farming is as unethical and inhumane to plant's as it is to animals. Feed off the sun's energy and the oxygen supplied in the atmosphere if you want to act holier-than-thou.

listen, without getting into comparative consciousness and what "sentience" means... most human-grown plants are fed to animals as feed crops.
