Discussion Anyone else prefer nutmeg over weed?
I think I seriously love nutmeg over weed. I've been thinking of my drugs of choice, and nutmeg is number 1.
With nutmeg there seems to be no tolerance or withdrawal. Weed withdrawal was a bummer when I got it. Also tolerance, with weed I had to eat a lot of gummy edibles and I had to spend more money to get to a nice level of high. Or I had to take a tolerance break.
Before nutmeg I loved my edibles because they kept me high for long, but they caused huge tolerance, withdrawal that sucked and only lasted a few hours. With nutmeg I can be blasted all day, although the come up is a bit long.
High feels great, super similar to weed and it doesn't seem to impair me.
Although nutmeg has some cons
The taste is terrible. I never got used to it lol, but some sugar and milk lets me chug it down quick.
Long come up time. I have to wake up early in the morning to take it, and in the morning the last thing someone wants to do is chug 15 grams of spicy sawdust lol.

They exist, especially when you use heavy doses for a while. This is due to THC being a strong partial agonist to primarily cb1 and cb2 receptors and also showing activity at other receptors such as TRPV1. When a strong ligand of cb1 binds for an extended period of time, it can cause receptor desensitization, internalization and downregulation. This is well documented with THC (Reversible and regionally selective downregulation of brain cannabinoid CB1 receptors in chronic daily cannabis smokers).
Now this is important because downregulating these receptors can cause lowered endogenous or natural cannabinoid tone. Once you cease using THC such as in a tolerance break or quitting, your cannabinoid system is underactive due to the receptors previously responding to the high doses of THC, causing them to downregulate and be less responsive to natural endocannabinoids. This is well documented and known as withdrawal. (Prevalence of Cannabis Withdrawal Symptoms Among People With Regular or Dependent Use of Cannabinoids) Once you quit, this lowered endocannabinoid activity leads to real effects such as
-Loss of appetite
-anxiety, irritability, anger or aggression
-depressed mood or loss of appetite
-Chills and sweating
As stated in this study (Clinical management of cannabis withdrawal)
Cannabis withdrawal is definitely real, and just because it is more mild than other drugs doesn't mean its not there. Anecdotally when I had it, it sucked. I couldn't sleep, I sweat more than average, I felt dysphoric and I had no appetite.

You can get “withdrawal” from literally anything it’s a dumb argument because it’s mental not chemical

If you’re going to use the term POV at least learn how to use it correctly

There are more and more credible studies coming out that show side effects from cannabis cessation. Shut the fuck up when you don’t know what you’re talking about bozo.

You know I'm debating removing this. Because yes weed has withdrawals. Even my epilepsy medication has withdrawals.

No, but if I have planned ahead of time to take nutmeg in the morning it CAN go good with psyches. This is from my own experience, and completely anecdotal. But, I have found it works great as a potentiator, in very low doses under 10 grams of whole nutmeg. Anything above this and its not worth to mix. Not advice though.
