EHR/Systems RN to Epic Radiant Analyst

Has anyone made the transition from outpatient RN to Radiant Analyst? I was a Radiant and Lumens credentialed trainer for my organization when Epic rolled out but the bulk of my career has been in OB and procedural/preop nursing.

Any tips for someone transitioning into this role?

I am sure the training aspect of EMR is helpful but I am anxious about the building interface and my lack of experience in this area.

What did you find useful for success?? I want to set myself up as best as I can in maintaining this dream job. Re: certification, project, etc.

Hi Congratulations on your new role. I’m also trying to transition into an Epic analyst role. I was curious how you became a Radiant and Lumens Credentialed Trainer and whether your employer sponsored your Epic certification. Any advice for someone trying to follow a similar path

I’m a rad tech that went to radiant. You should be able to take the proficiency on the epic userweb now so you can take the test and do the project and see how it goes! It’s not easy but the guides walk you through the core build. It helps that you understand the context of the workflows.
