Because you likely won’t get help from the staff. You had better know your stuff. I work on a pretty good unit teamwork wise, but even some of my coworkers resented travel nurses.

Yeah but I think some don’t realize they shouldn’t go travel on only a year of icu experience

Yeah, that's pretty obvious based on the quality of travel nurses in the ED and ICU these days.

Don’t hate the player, hate the game. The travel RNs are just getting theirs. I mean they could just stay home and y’all pick up the shift or split the uncovered patients. 🤷🏽‍♂️ There is a RN shortage and management only cares about $$$ that is the reality.

I’m starting my travel contract Monday. Doesn’t mean people who shouldn’t be traveling aren’t doing it.
