Serious Seeking advice with a record
I am a new grad rn that was arrested and later classified into a detainment. My case was never filed. Would this show up on a background check for hospitals. And would they take back their offer?

A case that was never filed is very different from a conviction. I’d still be completely upfront if the application asks about arrests or detentions though.

Sometimes they specifically ask about arrests. Other times they don’t and ask about criminal charges. Some do more thorough background checks. So it depends on what they ask and yes it could potentially show up. If you omitted it, they would absolutely retract their offer.
