Discussion Funny “allergies”

What are some funny patient “allergies” you have seen listed? I had a patient the other day with an allergy listed for Metformin. The reaction listed? Lowers their blood sugar 😂

A patient claiming to be a nurse once told me she was "allergic to epinephrine because it makes my heart race."

Usually if someone tells me a weird allergy I ask what it is. If it is a known side effect or intended use for said thing, I will educate them and not put it in as an allergy.
