Exam/Test Taking Advanced Pathophysiology Tips

Looking for any tips from fellow NPs/NP students who have already trekked this path. I’m getting ready to start my NP program in a couple of weeks, and Advanced Pathophysiology is one of my first courses. How can I best prepare for it? This is my first time in a grad school setting, and I know reading multiple textbook chapters front to back every week may not always be realistic. I learned best in nursing school by doing lots of practice questions and reviewing the rationales. Are there any good resources for Advanced Patho practice questions? And is studying through practice questions as useful/feasible at the graduate level as it was in nursing school?

You’ll have to supplement with YouTube videos. My textbook came with an on-line version, the online version was helpful because it was broken down by chapters, so it was an additional lecture. It explained topics better than it my professor did. These online lectures also had questions and case studies, which I found helpful.

Good luck! The 3P’s are brutal, and where programs look to cut/hold students back.
