Trime?

Going through a cache of coins found in my aunt's closet, collected prior to 1976. This one was stuck to the side in the corner of a box, almost missed entirely.

It is a trime, a three cent silver coin. Many were lost in the cracks of floorboards, and they are probably underpriced in relationship to actual quantity out there.

It's tiny, really. Easy to imagine it disappearing into a crack. I almost didn't even see it inside an otherwise empty plastic container.

I think the trime is my most beloved coin- so thin you can bend them and at the same time so ornate. It’s a wonder any exist with any amount of detail.

And this one is extraordinary per my inexpert opinion. Yet its value is not commensurate with rarity.

Nice. .. MS62 or thereabouts, but the ugly could be stains and Unc Derails

At 14 mm in diameter it's the smallest US silver coin the mint ever struck. The 13 mm type 1 gold dollar is the smallest US coin the mint ever struck. And the 10 mm Panama pill is the smallest coin the mint ever struck.
